Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. Nicole Ari Parker is an American stage and film actor. Her most notable role was that of Teri an ardent attorney Teri Jospehson in the Showtime TV series Soul Food. Following her wedding, she was Nikki Kodjoe. The talent she displayed in her acting was apparent from childhood. In a Maryland high school contest gave her the best actress award. She earned her acting degree from the New York University after working in the Washington Ballet Company' as well as performing in the theatre. She received a lot of praise for her first large performance in The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love. It was followed by other films like 'Boogie Nights Spark' as well as Blue Streak. Her appearance on the television show Soul Food' was immensely appreciated. Her TV appearances included Second Time Around and Empire. Contractor was born in Mumbai and resided in Nigeria for seven years was awash with cultural experiences and travels at very young. She was educated in an boarding school in London between 7 and 9 years. Then, the family was relocated from London and moved to Toronto, Canada. Contractor was a successful academic throughout her time in Toronto and also trained as a ballerina. She was enrolled in the Etobicoke School of the Arts. This is a specialized school for arts and sciences, where she did not only study theater but danced as well. Contractor began acting at age 16 after completing a total of 10 years in dance. After graduating high school, she received a full-time scholarship to the University of Toronto, where she pursued a masters in theatre and a double major in psychology and sociology. Contractor was given the lead part in Pericles after a one-year stint in University. She was a part of the audition for the part during the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (Ontario Canada) and won. After the show ran for 92 times, she was rewarded with praise from the audience. The production was recognized as the best production by Canadian critics. The actress accepted an invitation to enroll in Stratford's conservatory, a program where only four men and eight women are able to take the 20-week crash training in classical theater. Her place in the upcoming stage season was securing and she won the role of Hermia.
